Message from FMRC 2025 Organising Committee
Dear Participants,
On behalf of the organising committee, we are excited to welcome you to the upcoming Family Medicine Review Course 2025. As family medicine continues to evolve, particularly in the context of managing complex chronic conditions, this course aims to provide you with valuable insights to enhance your practice.
In recent years, family medicine has taken on an increasingly critical role in managing chronic conditions. With the launch of Singapore’s Healthier SG initiative, general practitioners (GPs) are expected to handle an increasing load of chronic diseases, many of which affect multiple organ systems. These conditions often require a multidisciplinary approach, where collaboration with specialists is essential to ensure optimal patient care.
Managing chronic diseases, such as chronic kidney disease, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, requires us to work hand in hand with hospital specialists. For this reason, we have designed the course to include valuable perspectives directly from these specialists. By listening to their expertise, we hope to equip you with a broader, more comprehensive understanding of managing complex chronic conditions.
Our goal is for all family physicians and general practitioners to gain a deeper understanding of chronic disease management from the specialist’s perspective. This course will offer an opportunity to enhance your skills, ultimately benefiting the patients you care for in the community.
We look forward to engaging with you in these important discussions and hope you find the course enriching and impactful.
